Remember the TV ads that show a product that was supposed to make a man appealing to women or to make a woman beautiful to a guy; well, it's all a big hoax.

I am just as guilty as the rest of the world for buying an item I did not need just because the advertising was attractive and exciting.

Still it is not alright to advertise something which is not true and mislead people into buying a product they will regret within a week.

Click on any of the commercial videos on www.godaddy.com ; the videos imply that if you set up a domain name at godaddy.com, a young beautiful girl will appear before you and do what ever you ask.

The catch is: this is reality and not your fantasy. Sure the commercials are funny to watch, but the odds of a real job coming out of this website are slim to none.

I watched two ads for Dove and Nike recently on YouTube, which showcase the natural strength and beauty of women and children despite societies materialistic expectations.

The Dove evolution ad brings to light the fact no one starts out beautiful, but has to be made beautiful, even the model shown in the ad has to go through so much in order to make her look awesome.

For me the Dove ad sent a mixed message; in one way it saying how no one is beautiful at all and we all have to be made to look good, but the ad demonstrates every person is the same when they roll out of bed in the morning.

Usually I have found either on TV or online, companies use sex in their ads to promote anything, whether the ad makes sense or not.

According to an article titled "15 Ads that prove sex sells… Best?" which list the top industries that use sex as false advertising to sell their own products. The companies' products range from lingerie to coffee; video games to vacuum cleaners.

Over the years, I have come to the conclusion that false advertising is here to stay at least until companies realize either to make a better product or hire someone who uses unethical and inappropriate techniques to win a customer.

You are a victim of false advertising Do I agree with it? I'm just saying... I have issues with that.
